AI recruiting, defined.
Clear, jargon-free definitions of the AI hiring terms you’ll run into, and how each one actually works in Orbis.
AI recruiting OS
An AI recruiting OS is a single platform that runs the whole hiring loop with AI, screening applicants, interviewing them, scoring and ranking, and handling offers, instead of stitching together separate tools.
Read definitionAutonomous AI interviewer
An autonomous AI interviewer conducts a candidate interview on its own, asking questions, capturing answers, and producing a score, without a human running the call.
Read definitionSemantic resume matching
Semantic resume matching scores how well a candidate fits a role by comparing the meaning of their experience to the job using AI embeddings, rather than matching exact keywords.
Read definitionThree-model jury scoring
Three-model jury scoring evaluates an interview transcript with three independent AI models that each grade it, then takes the majority view, reducing the chance any single model’s quirk skews the score.
Read definitionAI salary negotiation
AI salary negotiation is when an AI agent negotiates a candidate’s offer on the employer’s behalf, within limits the employer sets.
Read definitionBias-safe AI hiring
Bias-safe AI hiring means AI tools are designed not to rank, filter, or score candidates by protected attributes such as gender, nationality, religion, age or disability.
